Engineering analysis for equipment that must not fail
We calculate, design and document critical equipment for oil and gas, LNG, chemical process, power generation, marine and aerospace — and prove the result against ASME and EN codes and marine class rules. Around 3,000 units of our equipment are in service today.
Four services, one standard of proof
Most of our work is equipment that has never been built before, for conditions nobody wants to test in the field. That puts the burden of proof on the model, so the model has to be right and the report has to show why.
Analysis
Structural, fluid, thermal and electromagnetic simulation, separately or coupled in one model.
Design and documentation
Turnkey design of equipment with no standard equivalent, delivered as a complete documentation package including acceptance testing.
Materials engineering
Material selection, substitution, welding technology, testing and certification, with our structural-materials research partner.
Digital twins and training
Digital twins of high-risk equipment, and simulation teams trained on the resulting methods — three client companies so far.
Twelve sectors, one set of methods
The physics does not change between a drilling bit, a cooling tower and a human jaw. What changes is the code you certify against, and we work to the one your market requires.
Oil and gas
Drilling tools and platforms, pipeline equipment, separation, downhole pumps.
Chemical and process
Scrubbers, evaporators, columns, gas separation, emissions reduction.
Marine, ports and LNG
Propulsion pumps to class rules, LNG ship loading, hydraulic shock, loading gear.
Aerospace
Cabin and interior structures, gas turbine flow paths, aeroelasticity, certification support.
Power generation
Cooling circuits, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, turbine hall equipment.
Hydrogen
Fuel cell and electrolyser CFD, 1D–3D system models, reforming kinetics.
Wind and renewables
Turbine loads, aeroelasticity, durability, corrosion, cabling.
Ground and rail transport
Chassis and body mechanics, e-powertrain, NVH, driving dynamics.
Mining and metallurgy
Process and handling equipment, wear and erosion, structural duty cycles.
Manufacturing
Laser welding, forming and stamping, coating, erosion reduction.
Frames and refrigeration
Support frames, racks, shelving, cooling units and cooling towers.
Bioengineering
High-quality FEM models of anatomy, with real material properties and joints.
A four-step engagement
Conventional on purpose. The value is in the rigour, not in the process diagram.
Scope and code
We agree what must be proved and which standard governs, before modelling starts.
Model and analyse
Geometry, materials and loads built into a model covering normal and accident cases.
Verify
Results checked against analytical limits and, where it exists, your physical test data.
Document
A report your client, insurer or regulator will accept, with the full design documentation set.
Built to be used across borders
Most of what we deliver is read by someone we never meet: an inspector, a class surveyor, an insurer. So the work is set up around your framework, not ours.
Your code
ASME, EN or class society rules — whichever your market audits against, agreed before modelling starts.
Your language
Reports, drawings and review meetings in English or Russian.
Your tools
Our certified toolchain, or ANSYS and Siemens environments where your process requires it. Neutral CAD formats such as STEP accepted.
Your confidentiality
NDA before drawings change hands. Client names and sites are never published.
Recent programmes
Downhole electromagnetic pump
Six numerical stages found the life-limiting component — the plunger pair — before a prototype was cut.
Gas turbine engine, four workstreams
Flow path, cavities and oil system. Total pressure loss reduced by 0.5%, and the test-correlated model within 1% of product tests.
Jaw and nerve interaction model
A converged anatomical FEM model with bone, muscle and vascular properties, articulated joints and elastic constraints.
Recognised codes, certified software
Analysis is only useful if the people who accept it recognise the basis. We work to the codes your market already audits against.
| Area | Basis |
|---|---|
| Pressure equipment | ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, EN standards |
| Marine equipment | Class society rules for vessels and their machinery |
| Power-plant equipment | Strength-calculation codes for power-generation equipment and pipelines |
| Materials | Testing and certification with a national structural-materials research institute |
| Software | APM Multiphysics, certified for safety-critical strength calculation; ANSYS and Siemens suites |
